Job Summary
Oversee Service Room employees to ensure they meet company standards while calibrating machines, checking medicine orders, and preparing equipment for daily use. Perform quality control analysis on defective birds, assist with cleaning the medicine and service rooms, and repair machines if capable. Supervise up to 35 employees, train staff on accurate job duties, resolve conflicts, and maintain a safe environment following bio security and animal welfare regulations. Work around humidity, dust, and chemicals while lifting more than 50 pounds frequently. Follow directives of the Hatchery Manager and be willing to work extended days as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Must be Eligable to work in the United States
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen
- Previous experience in a supervisory role required
- Ability to communicate verbally and listening with others
- Ability to work under pressure
- Ability to work successfully in a team environment
- Ability to perform job duties while wearing Personal Protective Equipment required of the position
- Must be willing to work an extended work day or additional days as needed
- Must be able to work around humidity, dust, chemicals and fumes
- Must be able to lift more than 50 pounds frequently
Desired Qualifications
- High School diploma is preferred
- Prior experience with animals or in a hatchery is a Plus
- Bilingual Spanish speaking ability desired
