Job Summary
Prepare accurate estimates and quotations for commercial roofing service, maintenance, repair, and small project opportunities by reviewing drawings, specifications, and site conditions. Conduct site visits to assess existing roof conditions, identify deficiencies, and gather measurements required for proposals. Perform quantity take-offs, source pricing from manufacturers and subcontractors, and develop competitive quotations while collaborating with project managers and field crews. Maintain accurate estimating records, bid documentation, and customer information, and follow up with clients and general contractors regarding quotation status. Manage multiple estimates simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, ensuring seamless project handoffs and strong client relationships.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of estimating experience
- Valid driver's licence with the ability to travel to project sites throughout the Lower Mainland as required
- Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a customer-focused approach
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple estimates and meet tight deadlines
Desired Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Engineering Technology, Architecture, or a related discipline
- Experience estimating commercial roofing service, maintenance, repairs, leak investigations, or small projects
- Experience using estimating software such as Bluebeam, PlanSwift, On-Screen Takeoff, Procore, or similar platforms
