Job Summary
Road Service Technician at Bercon Rentals with heavy equipment service, field repairs at customer sites, and training support for junior technicians. Responsibilities include maintenance and repair of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on rental and customer equipment, travel to job sites for repairs, keeping accurate work orders and documentation, assisting with equipment pick-up/delivery, and supporting team collaboration. Requires Level 3 Apprentice 421A or equivalent, 3-5+ years of heavy equipment experience (2+ years aerial), a valid Heavy Equipment Service Technician License, and a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. Proficiency in reading schematics/diagrams, strong customer service skills, and knowledge of equipment from Skyjack, JLG, and Genie is preferred. Ability to operate equipment up to 180 feet and training in Work from Heights provided; regions around GGTA and Greater Hamilton Area.
Required Qualifications
- Level 3 Apprentice 421A preferred or equivalent work experience
- Heavy Equipment experience of 3-5+ years related experience and 2+ years aerial experience
- Posses a valid Heavy Equipment Service Technician License and at least 3-5 years of related experience
- Valid driver’s license, clean driving record
- Experience in customer service
- Have strong mechanical background knowledge with various engines and hydraulic systems
- Have a good understanding of schematics and diagrams
- Exhibit teamwork
- Strong verbal and written skills
- Employees are expected to own the tools applicable to position
- Knowledge of equipment from brands such as Skyjack, JLG and Genie is an asset
- Ability to test equipment up to 180 feet in the air; Work from Heights safety training is provided
