Service Project Technician

Job Summary
Lead and complete complex commercial repair and small construction projects from initiation to closeout, independently scoping, estimating, and securing new work through exceptional client service. Take full ownership of job site safety, manage project schedules and logistics, and adapt techniques to unforeseen challenges while maintaining a clean, hazard-free environment. Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, resolving concerns professionally and proactively generating repeat business and referrals. Submit accurate daily timecards, maintain project records in Field Point and Procore, and mentor other technicians. Minimum five years of carpentry experience and OSHA-10 certification required. Full-time, in-person role in Minneapolis/St. Paul area.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a carpenter in commercial construction
- Minimum 3-4 years of experience as a General Foreman or higher
- OSHA-10 certification
- Valid driver's license and ability to maintain a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report
- Strong knowledge of occupational hazards and the associated safety precautions with the ability to identify hazards and enforce safe practices
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings and blueprints
- Ability to manage multiple active projects and client accounts simultaneously
- Ability to prioritize competing demands and deadlines in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to set clear expectations, build trust, and maintain professional client interactions throughout the project lifecycle
- Ability to represent the company with professionalism, emotional intelligence, and a service-oriented mindset in time-sensitive and client-facing situations
- Interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a dynamic team environment
- Proficient keyboarding skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), Google Suite, and communication tools (email, smartphone)
- Advanced proficiency in utilizing Service Team's operating systems, including proficiency in project management and field software such as Procore, Outbuild, and Airtable
- Must be currently legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship for employment visa status
- Must be able to lift, push, pull, or carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work comfortably in a variety of job site conditions
- Ability to walk, stand, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and use hands and arms in repetitive movements
- Visual and auditory awareness is essential for safety and communication
- Must be able to climb ladders, work on scaffolding, and maneuver in tight or elevated spaces
- Must be able to work with tools and equipment such as hand tools, table saws, drill presses, hammers, saws, planers, and ladders
- Must be able to work in various weather conditions, including heat, cold, and humidity
- Must be able to wear PPE
