Job Summary
Service and repair electronic, hydraulic, and mechanical petroleum equipment while providing superior customer service and troubleshooting to ensure proper operations. Install, program, and test newly installed equipment, driving daily between various customer locations and project sites. Communicate with the service dispatch team regarding work order status, open and close jobs, and submit accurate repair narratives and paperwork. Collaborate with other technicians on servicing and training, while monitoring parts inventory accuracy and managing transfers to jobs or warehouse returns. Maintain a good driving record and hold current manufacturer and safety certifications required for field work.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 3-5 years of experience in mechanical systems, fuel systems, electrical systems, construction or related repair work
- A valid driver's license (Class E in MO)
- Good driving record
- Current manufacturer and safety certifications (EG: Wayne, Gilbarco Veeder Root, Franklin Fueling, LOB etc.)
- Hazwoper and Wayne certified
- Electrical knowledge
- Excellent mechanical abilities
- Ability to operate mechanical equipment and machines
- Knowledge and experience with computer programs (Mobile web-based applications, Basic Microsoft Excel)
- Ability to teach and coach junior technicians on proper troubleshooting techniques
- Ability to make quick decisions in the field without management assistance
Desired Qualifications
- Technicians must maintain a good driving record
- Hazwoper and Wayne certified preferred
- The job typically requires completion of a formal technical program and 7+ years of previous experience, or equivalent
