Job Summary
Service Porter responsible for performing a variety of vehicle-related tasks: assist with service write-ups and tagging customer cars/trucks, remove protective coverings and ID tags before returning vehicles, inspect for stains/debris/damages, transport customers and dealership personnel, perform deliveries as required, clean interiors and exteriors, keep the lot neat and orderly, return vehicle keys to service consultants, pick up/deliver vehicles to storage, test batteries in the service drive, maintain building/grounds, and assist with shop cleanup and deliveries. Requires reading/comprehension of instructions, effective communication, ability to operate machinery safely, drive manual transmissions, and a valid driver's license. Eligible for starting pay of $18 per hour with benefits including health/dental/vision, 401k matching, and other perks. AutoNation emphasizes DEI and community involvement.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 6-12 months of previous work experience (preferred)
- Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and information
- Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle machinery safely
- Ability to drive manual transmission vehicles
- Demonstrated customer service skills
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Ability to operate an automobile
