Job Summary
The Service Porter assists with write-ups and tagging, removes protective coverings and IDs, inspects vehicles for stains/debris/damages, transports customers and dealership personnel, performs vehicle deliveries, cleans interiors/exteriors, keeps the lot neat, returns keys to service consultants, and supports parts pickup and shop cleanup. Strong attention to vehicle condition, safety, and customer service are emphasized, with a focus on teamwork and contributing to a positive dealership experience. The role also involves basic battery testing on vehicles in service and light groundskeeping or facility upkeep as needed. Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to drive manual transmission vehicles; high school diploma or equivalent and good communication skills are required.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 6-12 months of previous work experience (preferred)
- Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and information
- Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle machinery safely
- Ability to drive manual transmission vehicles
- Demonstrated customer service skills
- Must have a valid drivers license
- Ability to operate an automobile
