Job Summary
Receive red tags from drivers, process work orders, and coordinate equipment with Driver Services and Customer Service. Assign jobs to mechanics, plan daily workloads, and inspect repair orders for warranty information and proper reason codes. Communicate with Safety/Service Providers, the warranty department, and the Parts department to manage outsourced repairs and ensure parts are ordered. Handle all shop calls for units in and out of shop, coordinate with the Onroad department for road calls within 75 miles, and maintain the shop DNR work log. Provide Owner Operators with completed repair orders and perform additional duties as assigned by leadership.
Required Qualifications
- One (1) year experience service planning
- Experience in warranty
- Experience in service writer
- Experience in technician
- Experience in administration in a mechanical related field
- Mechanical knowledge of DOT approved equipment
- demonstrated/proven superior customer service skills
- computer keyboarding
- High school diploma or GED
Desired Qualifications
- preferably in a heavy truck environment
