Job Summary
Receive red tags from drivers, process work orders, and assign jobs to mechanics while coordinating equipment with Driver Services and Customer Service. Communicate with Safety/Service Providers regarding work order write-ups, plan daily workloads, and inspect repair orders for warranty information. Coordinate with the Onroad department for road calls within 75 miles, manage shop calls for units in and out of shop, and ensure all outsourced repairs are properly tracked. Work with the Parts department to order necessary repairs and maintain the shop DNR work log. Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm.
Required Qualifications
- One (1) year experience service planning
- Experience in warranty
- Experience in service writer
- Experience in technician
- Experience in administration in a mechanical related field
- Mechanical knowledge of DOT approved equipment
- demonstrated/proven superior customer service skills
- computer keyboarding
- High school diploma or GED
Desired Qualifications
- preferably in a heavy truck environment
