Job Summary
Receive, record, and distribute work orders to service crews based on customer requests for repairs or utility services. Schedule service calls, dispatch mobile crews via radio telephone, and relay special instructions while monitoring multiple communication devices. Greet visitors, handle incoming phone calls, faxes, and radio messages, and ensure satisfactory performance by contacting customers. Maintain records of service calls and work orders, and assist with emails, walk-ins, and order creation systems as directed by leadership. This role supports a 24/7 operation with shifts available Friday through Monday (8am–7pm), weekends, and holidays. Valid driver's license, strong English proficiency, and ability to work minimal supervision are required.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two (2) years related experience with the ability to perform the assigned duties
- Must be able to effectively read, write, and speak the English language
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and PC functions, with demonstrated skills in word processing, databases, and spreadsheets
- Ability to communicate effectively with diverse and sometimes irate individuals and to handle calmly, and efficiently situations ranging from routine to emergency
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to be a self-starter and have strong time management skills
- Ability to perform basic accounting and mathematical computations with a good degree of accuracy
- Ability to monitor several audible communications devices, such as, telephone, fax and radio throughout the day while performing job tasks
- Ability to work both with minimal supervision and as a team player
- Ability to pass criminal, drug, and driving screening
- Ability to work any time or day of the week, including weekends and holidays
- Ability to work various shifts covering a twenty-four-hour period, seven days per week
- Possess valid driver's license and maintain good driving record
- If required, ability to obtain and maintain security clearance and base access to assigned site(s)
