Job Summary

Service Manager in Portland, ME must lead automotive service operations, build a high-performance team, ensure safety and compliance, manage service desk and technician assignments, drive customer satisfaction, and uphold the Code of Ethics and company policies. Responsibilities include hiring and developing associates, coordinating LMS and vendor training, ensuring ASE certifications and maintenance of shop facilities, managing scheduling and communications, implementing the 5 for 5 customer education process, enforcing safety and regulatory requirements, and serving as policy administrator within the location. Must possess strong leadership, verbal/written communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, plus a deep understanding of automotive servicing and industry standards.

Required Qualifications

  • Two years related experience in automotive service management
  • Completion of two-year college or technical school program recommended
  • Current, valid driver’s license issued in state of residence
  • Equipment Safety Certification
  • ASE Certification C1 – Service Consultant required
  • ASE Certification P2 – Parts Specialist recommended
  • ASE Certification G1 – Maintenance and light repair recommended
  • State Inspection License Required (where applicable)
