Job Summary

Service Manager responsible for leading the service department at VIP in Watertown, MA. Drives an exceptional customer experience by building and guiding a high-performing team, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance, coordinating scheduling and work order dispatch, and maintaining a clean, efficient service area. Key duties include hiring and developing technicians, overseeing LMS and vendor trainings, ensuring ASE certifications (C1, P2, G1) as appropriate, enforcing a robust safety culture, communicating with staff through daily huddles and meetings, and aligning operations with the company’s ethics and service standards. Requires strong leadership, clear communication, automotive service knowledge, and the ability to manage service desk operations and facility maintenance to meet customer needs and company targets.

Required Qualifications

  • Two years related experience in automotive service management
  • Completion of two-year college or technical school program recommended
  • Current, valid driver’s license issued in state of residence
  • Equipment Safety Certification
  • ASE Certification C1 – Service Consultant required
  • ASE Certification P2 – Parts Specialist recommended
  • ASE Certification G1 – Maintenance and light repair recommended
  • State Inspection License Required (where applicable)
