Job Summary
Recruit, train, and supervise a team of lawn care specialists to ensure quality service and maximize customer retention. Evaluate service performance, coach field staff on technical skills and safety policies, and coordinate workflows between customers and technicians. Recruit and select personnel, prepare work schedules, and monitor duties to meet production and sales goals. Administer disciplinary actions, conduct daily and weekly management meetings, and maintain Department of Transportation files for all associates. Requires an Associate's degree in a business-related discipline, two years of lawn care experience, and 2+ years of supervisory management experience. Valid driver's license and current liability auto insurance are mandatory.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree in a business-related discipline
- Two (2) or more years of related experience in lawn/horticulture/agronomy/lawn care services
- Equivalent combination of education and experience to the above
- 2+ years of supervisory management experience
- Bachelor's degree and sales experience preferred
- Extensive local travel
- Valid, permanent driver's license from state of residence
- Current liability auto insurance
- Must be 21 years of age by date of hire
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of leadership and with front line staff
- Excellent leadership skills in team building, selecting talent, training, mentoring and developing a sales team, executing goals
- Excellent time management skills
- Practical knowledge of service industry and experience in developing and executing sales plans
- Business process analysis skills
- Computer skills with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Ability to speak, read and write fluently in English
