Job Summary
Service Manager at Trek Store Castro Valley leads the store’s Service Center operations, overseeing workflow, staffing of mechanics, and KPIs to ensure exceptional customer experience. Acts as primary service advisor, integrating sales and service, trains and develops the team, engages with customers to recommend appropriate services, and ensures efficient department operations. Responsible for managing service costs, keeping orders organized, ensuring proper bike builds for delivery, and coordinating communication from the Service Department to customers. Requires strong leadership, excellent communication, proactive planning, and the ability to drive both service and sales success. 3+ years of bicycle service center experience and a commitment to delivering outstanding hospitality and customer service are essential.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of bicycle service center experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Great leadership skills and ability to motivate and develop future leaders
- Ability to plan effectively and stay ahead of shop’s needs
- Proactive approach to staying up to date on industry changes and trends
- Willingness to train and develop team members
- Manage and control service costs
- Write more than 50% of the work orders for the shop
