Job Summary
Oversee daily service requests and advanced system repairs including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and appliances across assigned communities. Execute unit turns, conduct property inspections, and manage preventive maintenance projects while maintaining grounds and pool standards. Lead the maintenance team through hands-on skill development, performance evaluations, and work order coordination with vendors. Prioritize daily assignments, utilize personal vehicles for site travel, and adhere to the on-call rotation. Maintain accurate documentation of all replacements and purchases.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years maintenance experience
- Experience leading work crews, delegating and staff supervision
- Experience in technical training and developing others
- High mechanical aptitude
- Ability to lift and carry up to 80 pounds/36.3 kg
- Ability to climb ladders and climb multiple flights of stairs at a time
- Ability to use appliance dolly, push/pull up to 200 pounds/90.7 kg
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Ability to be on feet constantly for entire work shift
- Strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, swimming pool maintenance, appliances, building systems, irrigation systems, and HVAC systems
- HVAC certification
- CPO certification
- EPA certification
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong motivation to learn & contribute on a daily basis
- Ability to give professional directions clearly in person, over the phone, email, and text
- Working knowledge of English
- Detail oriented
- Well organized
- Willing and able to be assigned to other Weidner properties as needed
- Must agree to a criminal background check
- Must sign an agreement for voluntary drug testing
- Must have access to personal vehicle and/or reliable transportation
- Driver's license
- Vehicle insurance
- Valid and unexpired driver's license, vehicle, and vehicle insurance

- Industry designations, CAMT
- Experience with Microsoft products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
- Yardi experience
- HappyCo experience
- Paycom experience
- Willingness and ability to learn new software programs

- Ability to comply with all Fair Housing, local, state/province, and federal laws
- Prompt, regular attendance
- Ability to wear company dress code/uniform
