Job Summary
Oversee daily service requests and advanced system repairs for electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and appliances across assigned communities. Lead and support the maintenance team in executing unit turns, preventive maintenance projects, and property inspections to ensure Weidner quality standards. Manage work orders, coordinate vendor schedules, and conduct hands-on carpentry, painting, and grounds maintenance including pool supervision. Prioritize assignments, address staff performance, and maintain accurate documentation of replacements and purchases. Utilize personal vehicle and cell phone for site travel and supply pickups. Participate in on-call rotations and work overtime as needed.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years maintenance experience
- Experience leading work crews, delegating and staff supervision
- Experience in technical training and developing others
- High mechanical aptitude
- Ability to lift and carry up to 80 pounds/36.3 kg
- Ability to climb ladders and climb multiple flights of stairs at a time
- Ability to use appliance dolly, push/pull up to 200 pounds/90.7 kg
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Ability to be on feet constantly for entire work shift
- Strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, swimming pool maintenance, appliances, building systems, irrigation systems, and HVAC systems
- HVAC certification
- CPO certification
- EPA certification
- Ability to give professional directions clearly in person, over the phone, email, and text
- Working knowledge of English
- Detail oriented
- Well organized
- Must agree to a criminal background check
- Willingness to sign an agreement for voluntary drug testing
- Must have access to personal vehicle and/or reliable transportation
- Valid driver's license
- Valid vehicle insurance
- Ability to work overtime as requested
- Willingness to be assigned to other Weidner properties as needed
- Must comply with all Fair Housing, local, state/province, and federal laws
- Must wear company dress code/uniform & maintain professional appearance at all times
- Ability to work effectively and cooperatively in a team environment and/or independently

- Industry designations, CAMT
- Experience with Microsoft products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
- Yardi experience
- HappyCo experience
- Paycom experience
- Willingness and ability to learn new software programs
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong motivation to learn & contribute on a daily basis
