Job Summary
Service Manager responsible for leading an automotive service team at VIP, ensuring safety, engaging and developing team members, and delivering an exceptional customer experience. Key duties include hiring and coaching staff, ensuring LMS and vendor training, achieving ASE certifications for staff, scheduling to cover all hours, directing dispatch of service work orders to technicians, maintaining a clean and compliant service facility, enforcing the service code of ethics and regulatory procedures, coordinating communications with management, and serving as policy administrator at the location. Requires strong leadership, planning, communication, and a solid understanding of automotive servicing and industry practices. Exempt role with typical 5-day work week and minimum 50 hours per week.
Required Qualifications
- Two years related experience in automotive service management
- Completion of two-year college or technical school program recommended
- Current, valid driver’s license issued in state of residence
- Equipment Safety Certification
- ASE Certification C1 – Service Consultant required
- State Inspection License Required (where applicable)
