Job Summary
Service Manager in Shelburne, VT leads an automotive service team to deliver an exceptional customer experience, ensures safety and regulatory compliance, coordinates staffing and training (LMS and vendor trainings), oversees technicians and service advisors, manages work orders, and drives adherence to service standards and ethics while maintaining a well-organized service department and a high-performing team. The role requires strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and knowledge of automotive servicing, ASE certifications, and shop operations, with a standard 5-day workweek and minimum 50 hours. The position emphasizes team development, scheduling, safety, facility and equipment upkeep, and policy administration within the service location.
Required Qualifications
- Two years related experience in automotive service management
- Completion of two-year college or technical school program recommended
- Current, valid driver’s license issued in state of residence
- Equipment Safety Certification
- ASE Certification C1 – Service Consultant required
- State Inspection License Required (where applicable)
- ASE Certification P2 – Parts Specialist recommended
- ASE Certification G1 – Maintenance and light repair recommended
