Job Summary
Lead the safe, compliant delivery of planned and reactive maintenance services across the VIVO contract, ensuring activities meet statutory legislation, MoD requirements, and VIVO's Health, Safety and Environmental standards. Coordinate day-to-day service delivery with supply chain partners and site teams, deploying qualified operatives with correct equipment and authorisations. Oversee safe systems of work, review Risk Assessments and Method Statements, and ensure accurate recording through the CAFM system. Build relationships with Defence Infrastructure Organisation representatives, end users, and stakeholders to resolve operational issues and support estate operations. Manage small billable works, including cost estimation and commercial delivery, while balancing operational priorities with cost mitigation and forward maintenance planning.
Required Qualifications
- practical experience working within planned and reactive maintenance environments
- responsibility for small project delivery
- HNC (or equivalent experience) in a building, civil, electrical or mechanical discipline
- management-level Health & Safety qualification such as SMSTS
- Strong IT skills
- confidence using Microsoft Office
- confidence using CAFM systems
- Technical competency
- comfortable taking on additional responsibilities such as Legionella, Asbestos, Confined Space or Working at Height Authorised Person roles
- confident communicator
- strong relationship management skills
- able to influence stakeholders
- make sound decisions
- drive high standards of delivery in a regulated, safety-critical environment
