Job Summary
Lead and mentor a team of licensed technicians, apprentices, and support staff while overseeing day-to-day maintenance operations for a diverse fleet including construction equipment, snow plows, and service vehicles. Assign and prioritize work orders, monitor productivity, and coordinate preventative maintenance programs to ensure fleet reliability and operational readiness. Provide technical guidance on complex diagnostics and troubleshooting, manage departmental budgets, and track repair costs and labor hours. Maintain a visible presence within the shop to support the team while driving accountability across multiple divisions.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed 310T Truck & Coach Technician
- Previous maintenance leadership experience
- Strong understanding of fleet maintenance operations
- Experience managing technicians and shop personnel
- Valid G Driver's License
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
Desired Qualifications
- 5–10+ years of maintenance leadership experience
- Construction equipment experience
- Heavy equipment maintenance background
- Snow and ice operations experience
- Experience managing mixed fleets of on-road and off-road equipment
- Strong understanding of Diesel Engine Systems
- Strong understanding of Hydraulic Systems
- Strong understanding of Electrical Diagnostics
- Strong understanding of Air Brake Systems
- Strong understanding of DEF & Emissions Systems
- Strong understanding of Fleet Maintenance Programs
- Strong understanding of Equipment Lifecycle Management
- Strong understanding of Preventative Maintenance Planning
