Job Summary
Lead and manage the Queenstown Service Department within thl’s automotive/service context, coaching Service Advisors and workshop teams to deliver outstanding customer experiences. Oversee daily workshop operations, scheduling, and productivity; monitor labour efficiency, costs and service profitability; ensure high-quality repairs and right-first-time vehicle presentation. Manage service budgets, pricing and supplier relationships, and champion health, safety and compliance. Requires a proven automotive service background, leadership experience, and a NZ driver licence; hours are 40+ per week, 7am–5pm, Monday to Friday. The role contributes to profitability and customer satisfaction across a busy tourism-industry service operation.
Required Qualifications
- Trade qualification or NZQF diploma or AQF associated degree or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in automotive service environment
- Leadership or management experience in workshop or service setting (at least 2 years)
- Strong communication and people leadership skills
- Full New Zealand driver licence
- Commercial mindset with cost control and productivity focus
