Job Summary
Lead all service operations including customer relations, P&L budgeting, and training of service employees. Oversee technician work areas, prioritize work orders, and ensure safety protocols are followed while providing skilled technical support for installation, repair, and warranty issues. Negotiate warranty settlements, administer product warranty programs, and coordinate service bulletins with sales and marketing. Manage supplier relations for parts and service, drive growth in reimbursable service work, and participate in long-range business planning. Maintain supplier relations and interpret customer inquiries regarding parts and service problems. This full-time, 1st shift role in Kansas City, MO requires 5+ years in heavy construction equipment management and proficiency with mobile hydraulic and crawler cranes.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Technical Degree preferred
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in heavy construction equipment management or product support
- Experience specific with mobile hydraulic and crawler cranes
- Exceptional customer service and organizational skills
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Minimal travel required
- Perform job functions in a safe manner
- Wear all Personal Protective Equipment (P.P.E.) required by Company policy for the job being performed
- Know and follow established job specific and facility wide safety and health procedures and rules
- Actively participate in safety and health training and demonstrate competency based on training received
- Bring safety and health issues, unsafe acts, and safety suggestions to management's attention or correct those you can
- Occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
- Frequent lifting and/or moving of up to 40 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color and peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
- Full-time position with typical 1st shift working hours
- Overtime and weekend work may be possible based on business conditions
Desired Qualifications
- Technical Degree preferred
- Experience with Manitowoc, National and Grove crane brands
- Familiarity with scheduling and expediting the turnaround of a rental fleet
