Job Summary
Lead and oversee the service department (up to 40 employees) in compact construction and material handling equipment, guiding daily operations, coordinating across parts, sales, rentals, and admin, and driving department profitability, customer satisfaction, safety compliance, and continuous improvement. Coach and develop the team, manage WIP and warranty, support service quoting and customer follow-up, monitor performance metrics, and escalate technical issues as needed. Role is on-site in West Sacramento, CA with approximately 70% office leadership and 30% on-site shop support.
Required Qualifications
- Prior management experience
- Experience working in a sales rental and parts environment
- Prior experience managing technicians in a customer-billed service operation
- Strong understanding of labor management, technician productivity, service department operations, and customer service
