Job Summary
Service Manager responsible for safety and regulatory compliance, building and leading a high-performing automotive service team, coordinating scheduling and training, and maintaining facility and equipment to deliver an exceptional customer experience. Key duties include hiring and developing staff, ensuring LMS and vendor training, certifying ASE credentials (C1, P2, G1) and meeting safety and ethics standards, managing work orders and communications, conducting regular team meetings and huddles, and overseeing daily preparation and closing of the service location. Strong emphasis on leadership, organizational ability, and understanding of automotive servicing, with a minimum of two years’ service-management experience and relevant certifications.
Required Qualifications
- Two years related experience in automotive service management
- Completion of two-year college or technical school program recommended
- Current, valid driver’s license issued in state of residence
- Equipment Safety Certification
- ASE Certification C1– Service Consultant required
- ASE Certification P2 – Parts Specialist recommended
- ASE Certification G1 – Maintenance and light repair recommended
- State Inspection License Required (where applicable)
