Job Summary
Service Manager responsible for leading a high-performing automotive service team at VIP, ensuring safety, compliance, and exceptional customer experiences. Key duties include team building and development, scheduling to meet customer needs, managing service desk and equipment, enforcing the service Code of Ethics, coordinating training and certifications for technicians, overseeing shop facilities and cleanliness, and collaborating with management to maintain service standards and policies. Requires strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and automotive service knowledge, plus ASE certifications and a valid driver’s license.
Required Qualifications
- Two years related experience in automotive service management
- Completion of two-year college or technical school program recommended
- Current, valid driver’s license issued in state of residence
- Equipment Safety Certification
- ASE Certification C1 – Service Consultant required
- ASE Certification P2 – Parts Specialist recommended
- ASE Certification G1 – Maintenance and light repair recommended
- State Inspection License Required (where applicable)
