Job Summary
The Service Manager II at VIP in Worcester, MA leads a service team to deliver exceptional customer experience, ensuring safety and compliance while developing team capabilities. Responsibilities include hiring and developing a superior team, coordinating scheduling to meet operational needs, communicating effectively with the team, guiding technicians on work dispatch, maintaining facility and equipment, ensuring adherence to the service Code of Ethics and municipal/state/federal regulations, delivering VIP program standards, and maintaining safety as a priority. Required qualifications include automotive service management experience (minimum two years), a two-year college or technical school background (recommended), current driver’s license, ASE certifications (C1 required; P2 and G1 recommended), State Inspection license where applicable, and strong leadership and communication skills.
Required Qualifications
- Two years related experience in automotive service management
- Completion of two-year college or technical school program recommended
- Current, valid driver’s license issued in state of residence
- Equipment Safety Certification
- ASE Certification C1 – Service Consultant required
- ASE Certification P2 – Parts Specialist recommended
- ASE Certification G1 – Maintenance and light repair recommended
- State Inspection License Required (where applicable)
- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: strong people management and leadership skills, communication
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Sound business sense, ability to analyze and prioritize
- Education/Experience: automotive servicing knowledge
- Compliance with service Code of Ethics and regulations
- Ability to manage shop operations and scheduling
- Ability to train and coach associates
- LMS training completion for associates
