Job Summary
Service Manager II at VIP in Williston, VT leads a service team to deliver an exceptional customer experience while ensuring safe operations and compliance with policies. Responsible for hiring and developing a superior team, ensuring LMS and vendor trainings, certifying technicians (e.g., ASE C1, P2, G1), proper scheduling to meet all hours of operation, effective day-to-day communication, and managing work orders and dispatch according to first-available technician guidelines. Oversees facility and equipment maintenance, enforces a service Code of Ethics, and coordinates with management to maintain standards and performance. Requires automotive service knowledge, strong leadership and communication skills, and relevant ASE certifications; the role includes regular store meetings, training, and off-site sessions as needed. Pays salary, standard 5-day workweek with minimum 50 hours, and requires a valid driver’s license and related safety certifications.
Required Qualifications
- Two years related experience in automotive service management
- Completion of two-year college or technical school program recommended
- ASE Certification C1 – Service Consultant required
- State Inspection License Required (where applicable)
- Equipment Safety Certification
- ASE Certification P2 – Parts Specialist recommended
- ASE Certification G1 – Maintenance and light repair recommended
