Job Summary
The SMII role focuses on developing a high-potential Service Manager to lead an automotive service team, ensuring safe operations, effective customer experience, and adherence to VIP programs and standards. Responsibilities include hiring and developing a capable team, coordinating scheduling across all hours, driving safety, training and certification for associates (including ASE certifications), managing dispatching and work orders to technicians, and maintaining facility and equipment standards. The role emphasizes leadership, communication, compliance with Code of Ethics and regulations, and achieving targeted performance through regular reporting and management oversight. Strong people management, verbal/written communication, organizational skills, and automotive servicing knowledge are essential; requires two years of related automotive service management experience and relevant ASE certifications or equivalents, plus a valid driver's license.
Required Qualifications
- Two years related experience in automotive service management
- Completion of two-year college or technical school program recommended
- Current, valid driver’s license issued in state of residence
- Equipment Safety Certification
- ASE Certification C1– Service Consultant required
- State Inspection License Required (where applicable)
- ASE Certification P2 – Parts Specialist recommended
- ASE Certification G1 – Maintenance and light repair recommended
- ASE Certification C1 – Service Consultant required
