Job Summary
Service Manager II at VIP in Presque Isle, ME oversees day-to-day automotive service operations, enforces safety policies, and leads a team to deliver exceptional customer experiences. Responsibilities include hiring and developing staff, ensuring LMS and vendor trainings are completed, coordinating scheduling to meet all hours of operation, guiding technicians via work orders, maintaining facility and equipment, and ensuring compliance with the Code of Ethics and applicable regulations. Requires strong leadership, verbal/written communication, problem-solving, and knowledge of automotive servicing, with ASE certifications (C1 required; P2/G1 recommended) and state inspection licensing where applicable.
Required Qualifications
- Two years related experience in automotive service management
- Completion of two-year college or technical school program recommended
- Current, valid driver’s license issued in state of residence
- Equipment Safety Certification
- ASE Certification C1 – Service Consultant required
- ASE Certification P2 – Parts Specialist recommended
- ASE Certification G1 – Maintenance and light repair recommended
- State Inspection License Required (where applicable)
