Job Summary
The Service Manager II at VIP in Gorham, ME develops into leadership by overseeing a team to deliver VIP customer experiences. Responsible for safety compliance, executing essential duties of the Assistant Manager role, hiring and developing associates, scheduling across all hours of operation, communicating effectively, dispatching work orders to technicians, leading training and coaching, maintaining facility and equipment standards, enforcing service codes and compliance with regulations, and performing additional duties as needed. Requires automotive service management experience, ASE certifications, a valid driver’s license, and a two-year college or technical program (or equivalent) with the ability to lead a team and manage store operations in a salary-exempt, five-day, 50+ hour work week.
Required Qualifications
- Two years related experience in automotive service management
- Completion of two-year college or technical school program recommended
- Equivalency combination of education and experience
- Current, valid driver’s license issued in state of residence
- Equipment Safety Certification
- ASE Certification C1 – Service Consultant
- ASE Certification P2 – Parts Specialist recommended
- ASE Certification G1 – Maintenance and light repair recommended
- State Inspection License Required (where applicable)
- Strong people management and leadership skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Sound business sense with ability to analyze and implement solutions
- Strong organization and time management skills
- Comprehensive understanding of automotive servicing and the industry
