Job Summary
Service Manager II (SMII) in Farmington, ME leads and develops a team to deliver safe, high-quality automotive service and customer experiences. Responsible for hiring and developing a superior team, ensuring LMS and vendor training completion, certifying technicians (including ASE C1), coordinating scheduling to meet customer needs, maintaining communication, and guiding adherence to VIP policies and safety standards. Requires strong leadership, written and verbal communication, coordination of work orders, monitoring service desk operations, and ensuring compliance with codes and procedures. Standard work week is five days with minimum 50 hours; role emphasizes safety, customer service excellence, and the ability to manage processes, training, and team performance within an automotive service environment. Supervisory duties include policy administration, cross-functional coordination, and ongoing performance measurement against leadership directives.
Required Qualifications
- Two years related experience in automotive service management
- Completion of two-year college or technical school program recommended or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Current, valid driver’s license issued in state of residence
- Equipment Safety Certification
- ASE Certification C1 – Service Consultant required
- State Inspection License Required (where applicable)
- ASE Certification P2 – Parts Specialist recommended
- ASE Certification G1 – Maintenance and light repair recommended
