Job Summary
Service Manager II at VIP in Ellsworth, ME leads and develops a service team to deliver an exceptional customer experience while upholding VIP programs and standards. Responsibilities include ensuring workplace safety, overseeing scheduling and dispatching to meet customer needs, coaching associates through LMS and vendor training, ensuring ASE certifications are pursued (C1 required; P2/G1 recommended), communicating effectively via daily huddles and meetings, and maintaining facility and equipment to meet safety and environmental codes. The role requires strong leadership, communication, and automotive service knowledge, plus a valid driver’s license and relevant ASE certifications.
Required Qualifications
- Two years related experience in automotive service management
- Completion of two-year college or technical school program recommended
- Or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Current, valid driver’s license issued in state of residence
- Equipment Safety Certification
- ASE Certification C1 – Service Consultant required
- ASE Certification P2 – Parts Specialist recommended
- ASE Certification G1 – Maintenance and light repair recommended
- State Inspection License Required (where applicable)
