Job Summary
The Service Manager II (SMII) leads and develops the service team at the Brookline location to deliver an exceptional customer experience and align with VIP standards. Responsibilities include hiring and developing an effective team, ensuring safety as a top priority, coordinating scheduling across all hours of operation, driving LMS and ASE training for associates, managing work orders and dispatch guidance to technicians, maintaining a clean and compliant service environment, and enforcing service codes of ethics and regulatory requirements. The role requires strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, along with knowledge of automotive servicing and regulatory compliance. This position is a salary-exempt management role with a standard 5-day workweek and potential for extensive hours.
Required Qualifications
- Two years related experience in automotive service management
- Completion of two-year college or technical school program recommended
- Current, valid driver’s license issued in state of residence
- Equipment Safety Certification
- ASE Certification C1 – Service Consultant required
- ASE Certification P2 – Parts Specialist recommended
- ASE Certification G1 – Maintenance and light repair recommended
- State Inspection License Required (where applicable)
- Strong people management and leadership skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Sound business sense with ability to analyze, prioritize, identify, and implement solutions
- Strong organization and time management skills
- Comprehensive understanding of automotive servicing and the industry
