Job Summary
The SMII leads an automotive service team to deliver VIP customer experiences, upholds safety and regulatory compliance, and develops staff to execute VIP programs and standards. Responsibilities include hiring and developing a capable team, ensuring LMS and vendor training completion, certifying technicians (e.g., ASE), scheduling to meet customer needs, dispatching work orders by first-available technician, maintaining facility and equipment, enforcing the service Code of Ethics, and coordinating communications with management to meet performance targets. The role requires strong leadership, clear written/verbal communication, organizational skills, and a solid understanding of automotive service operations. A standard 5-day workweek with a minimum of 50 hours and exempt status are noted, along with required automotive-related certifications and licenses.
Required Qualifications
- Two years related experience in automotive service management
- Completion of two-year college or technical school program recommended
- Current, valid driver’s license issued in state of residence
- Equipment Safety Certification
- ASE Certification C1 – Service Consultant required
- State Inspection License Required (where applicable)
