Job Summary
Maintain a positive attitude and greet customers by name to ensure prompt, efficient, and friendly service throughout the store. Supervise and coordinate employee activities, plan work schedules, and assign duties to ensure tasks are completed timely. Manage inventory by ordering merchandise, verifying deliveries, and addressing discrepancies while determining ad and promotional display locations. Evaluate employee performance for promotions or disciplinary actions, train staff on safety procedures and store policies, and handle cash registers. Address specific customer issues, explain store services to account customers, and recommend cost reduction programs. Stay current with market trends and ensure compliance with company guidelines, security, and record-keeping practices.
Required Qualifications
- High School or equivalent experience
- Must be able to physically perform medium work: exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and 20 pounds of force frequently, and 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects
- Vision from less than 20 inches to more than 20 feet with or without correction, depth perception, color vision, and field of vision
- Must be able to perform the following physical activities: Climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions
- Must be able to solve practical problems; variety of variables with limited standardization; interpret instructions
- Ability to do arithmetic calculations involving fractions, decimals, and percentages
- Possess the ability to interview to obtain basic information; guide people to provide basic direction; follow technical manuals and have increased contact with people
- Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a pre employment drug screen
Desired Qualifications
- Two years or more of similar or related work experience preferred
