Job Summary
Service Manager in Gorham, NH responsible for leading a high-performing automotive service team to deliver exceptional customer experiences. Key duties include building and developing an extraordinary team, coordinating scheduling, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance, maintaining facility and equipment, implementing the service code of ethics, and acting as policy administrator for the location. Requires strong leadership, communication, and coaching abilities, experience in automotive service management, ASE certifications (C1, P2, G1 preferred), existing state inspection license where applicable, and a valid driver’s license. The role entails managing service operations across the location, driving performance metrics, and ensuring employees complete LMS and vendor trainings to achieve service excellence.
Required Qualifications
- Two years related experience in automotive service management
- Completion of two-year college or technical school program recommended
- Or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Current, valid driver’s license issued in state of residence
- Equipment Safety Certification
- ASE Certification C1– Service Consultant required
- ASE Certification P2 – Parts Specialist recommended
- ASE Certification G1 – Maintenance and light repair recommended
- State Inspection License Required (where applicable)
- Strong people management and leadership skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Sound business sense, with the ability to analyze, prioritize, identify and implement solutions
- Strong organization and time management skills
- Comprehensive understanding of automotive servicing and the industry
