Job Summary
Service Manager in Gorham, ME responsible for building and leading a high-performing automotive service team, ensuring safety, compliance with applicable regulations, and delivering an exceptional customer experience. Responsibilities include hiring and developing staff, coordinating LMS and vendor trainings, ensuring ASE certifications (C1, P2, G1) are pursued, overseeing scheduling to meet customer needs, dispatching work orders to technicians, conducting regular communications and meetings, maintaining facility and equipment, enforcing the service code of ethics, and acting as policy administrator at the location. The role emphasizes safety priority, team development, process adherence, and operational readiness across the service department.
Required Qualifications
- Two years related experience in automotive service management
- Completion of two-year college or technical school program recommended
- Equipment Safety Certification
- ASE Certification C1 – Service Consultant required
- ASE Certification P2 – Parts Specialist recommended
- ASE Certification G1 – Maintenance and light repair recommended
- State Inspection License Required (where applicable)
- Current, valid driver’s license issued in state of residence
