Job Summary

Service Manager leads service department operations at Flint Equipment's Americus, GA location; responsible for managing service operations, budgeting, marketing plans, scheduling, and coordinating customer clinics and promotional events to maximize ROI and customer satisfaction. Develops and enforces service department processes, monitors department goals and budget, submits warranty and Product Improvement Program claims, allocates work to staff, reviews work orders for accuracy, maintains tools and equipment, and oversees recruiting and employee development. Requires 3+ years in service department operations, strong communication, proficiency with Microsoft Office, familiarity with John Deere products, and a solid grasp of financial principles related to service operations; must be able to work extended hours and weekends and deliver excellent customer service.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years’ experience in Service Department operations
  • Ability to use standard desktop load applications such as Microsoft Office and internet functions
  • Ability to write and speak effectively to individuals and groups
  • Familiar with John Deere and competitive products
  • Basic understanding of financial principles relative to Service Department operations
  • Ability to analyze and interpret internal reports
  • Ability to work extended hours and weekends
  • Excellent customer service skills
