Job Summary
Service Manager role in Farmington, ME focused on leading an automotive service team to deliver exceptional customer experiences. Responsibilities include building and developing the team, ensuring safety and compliance, scheduling to meet customers' needs, guiding the dispatching of work orders, coordinating with management, maintaining facility and equipment, enforcing the service code of ethics, and delivering ongoing training (LMS and ASE certifications) for staff. Requires strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, plus automotive servicing knowledge and relevant ASE certifications.
Required Qualifications
- Two years related experience in automotive service management
- Completion of two-year college or technical school program recommended
- Current, valid driver’s license issued in state of residence
- Equipment Safety Certification
- ASE Certification C1 – Service Consultant required
- ASE Certification P2 – Parts Specialist recommended
- ASE Certification G1 – Maintenance and light repair recommended
- State Inspection License Required (where applicable)
