Job Summary
Service Manager responsible for assigning work duties to auto service staff, overseeing customer interactions, hiring and training an effective auto service team, driving sales through proactive customer interactions and vehicle inspections, and ensuring quality standards and smooth store operations. The role combines automotive repair knowledge with people-management to coach technicians, manage inventory and scheduling, maintain customer satisfaction, and provide insights to improve front/back shop collaboration in Bridgestone BSRO stores.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 4 years auto service technical experience
- 1 year of service manager or service writer experience
- Problem solving - customer complaints
- Aptitude to manage inventory, scheduling, equipment maintenance, etc.
- Capacity to lead and coach others
- Ability to recruit and select technicians successfully according to store requirements
- Willingness to continue education and remain current in automotive repair issues
- Must have valid automotive driver's license at all times in order to test drive customers' vehicles
