Job Summary
Lead and coordinate the maintenance team to address property and apartment repairs, respond to service requests promptly and courteously, maintain move-in-ready apartments to meet leasing demand, assist with hiring and developing maintenance staff, oversee preventative maintenance programs, manage the maintenance department with energy and professionalism, address resident service requests with timely solutions, oversee make-ready inspections and vendor coordination for vacant units, maintain cleanliness and aesthetic standards across grounds and common areas, inspect work for quality and compliance, manage inventory within budget, conduct monthly preventative maintenance tasks, and lead safety initiatives and OSHA compliance while delivering exceptional customer service to residents.
Required Qualifications
- Experience: 3-5 years in apartment maintenance with supervisory responsibilities
- EPA Certification Type I and II
- Leadership: mentoring and developing team members while ensuring compliance with local regulations through regular inspections
- Organization: collaborate with Property Manager to establish goals, meet deadlines, and maintain operational excellence
- Technical Expertise: plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and other building systems with hands-on problem-solving
- Budget Management: purchasing supplies, scheduling vendor services, and adhering to budget guidelines
- Valid Driver’s License
