Job Summary
Oversee daily electrical service operations by diagnosing complex system issues, making real-time decisions during energization, and providing technical leadership for high-risk projects. Hire, train, and manage a team of electricians and technicians while conducting performance reviews and leading weekly safety meetings. Schedule and assign service calls, monitor field installations against technical specifications, and act as the primary client contact for inquiries and complaint resolution. Maintain accurate work order records and track departmental key performance indicators. Requires a Master Electrical license in Virginia or Maryland, five years managing a team of ten or more technicians, and three years working with property management firms.
Required Qualifications
- 5 Years experience managing an Electrical Service Department with (10) or more electricians and service technicians in a commercial electrical service, repair and maintenance
- 5 years experience with Service Management and Dispatch software, GPS vehicle monitoring and Office 360, Microsoft Office & Outlook
- 3 Years experience working with Property Management companies in Service and Maintenance of common area electrical equipment of condominiums, mid-rise and high-rise condominium buildings, office parks and shopping centers
- Master Electrical license(s) in Maryland, Virginia and/or Washington DC
- Team player with decisive leadership skills
- Broad understanding of all areas of a typical electrical service business and love working with professional customers in a fast track environment
- Experience and knowledge of estimating and quick turnaround of small service or repair work of $1000.00 to $150000.00
- Applicant must be familiar with a variety of the electrical troubling shooting and repair concepts, including the technical ability to understand and interpret Electrical Codes, Life Safety Codes, NFPA, Uniform Building Codes, basic motor controls and Lighting Systems
- Experience and knowledge of electrical applications, permits, electrical maintenance goals, Facility Maintenance & PM standards
- Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for any employer
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Must be available for weekend shifts
- Valid driver's license
