Job Summary
Manage the Branch service department and its diesel technicians, establishing strategic goals, profit targets, and operating budgets to ensure efficient and profitable operations. Foster communication between Service and all Branch departments while overseeing vendor relationships, warranty compliance, and facility maintenance. Prepare capital budgets, analyze market trends, and develop sales and marketing plans to capitalize on current conditions. Interview and hire personnel, ensure proper training, and handle personnel issues including performance appraisals. Conduct monthly meetings to review policies and safety, collect vendor credits, and coordinate advertising specials. Maintain cleanliness and adhere to federal, state, and local regulations. Requires an Associate's degree or comparable experience, 3-5 years in heavy-duty truck service, and a valid CDL.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree (AA) in a technical field
- 3-5 years of heavy-duty truck service or related experience
- supervisory experience
- extensive product knowledge
- valid Commercial Drivers License (CDL)
- good mathematical skills
- basic computer skills
- knowledge of Windows
- Ability to sit, stand, bend, kneel, stoop and lift/move up to 75 lbs.
- Ability to work in a dealership environment
- 8 - 12 hour days
- frequent exposure to weather elements
