Job Summary

Oversee the service department to drive operational success in a high-volume automotive setting. Key duties include managing team member schedules and pay plans, forecasting department goals, coordinating with Parts Manager for timely parts turnaround, and working with the shop foreman to ensure timely, quality service. Lead service department meetings, prepare annual operating budgets, and maintain gross profit growth through CSI and effective shop utilization. Recruit technicians and develop staff, partner with OEMs and third-party vendors, resolve customer complaints, and maintain a safe, professional work environment. Strong emphasis on customer service, leadership, and the ability to train and motivate a team in a fast-paced dealership environment. Proficiency with CDK or other automotive software is required, along with a proven track record of driving service department performance.

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years as an automotive Service Writer/Service Assistant Manager
  • Previous automotive Service Management experience is required
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment screens (background & drug test)
  • Experience with CDK or other automotive software required
  • Strong technical aptitude required
  • Proven track record to grow the fixed operation business through CSI, advertising, utilization and proficiency of the shop
