Job Summary
Service Manager at VIP Automotive in Claremont, NH leads and builds a high-performance team to deliver an exceptional customer experience while upholding VIP’s mission to earn automotive customers for life. Responsibilities include hiring and developing staff, ensuring LMS and vendor training, certifying technicians (ASE C1, with P2 and G1 recommended), scheduling to meet customer needs, coordinating work orders with technicians, maintaining facility and equipment, enforcing safety and regulatory compliance, and serving as policy administrator. Requires strong people management, excellent communication, automotive servicing knowledge, and a two-year college/technical program recommended plus two years of automotive service management experience; a valid driver’s license and relevant safety/ASE certifications are required. Standard workweek is five days with a minimum of 50 hours; environment is indoor/outdoor and safety-focused.
Required Qualifications
- Two years related experience in automotive service management
- Completion of two-year college or technical school program recommended
- Current, valid driver’s license issued in state of residence
- Equipment Safety Certification
- ASE Certification C1– Service Consultant required
- ASE Certification P2 – Parts Specialist recommended
- ASE Certification G1 – Maintenance and light repair recommended
- State Inspection License Required (where applicable)
