Job Summary
Service Manager oversees all service department operations, including staffing, provision of vehicle services, warranty administration, client retention, cost controls, and maintenance of service records. Acts as liaison between the Shop Foreman, Service Advisors, Parts Personnel, Technicians and Warranty Administration, and works to ensure employee and customer satisfaction while driving return on investment. Promotes recruitment and development of Team Leaders, Supervisors, and Assistant Managers; coordinates with factory representatives to achieve factory objectives; performs other duties and special projects as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED; College degree preferred and 5+ years of related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5+ years of dealership service experience in various aspects of the service department (technician, service advisor, team lead, foreman, Assistant Manager or similar).
- Experience with service principles, concepts and service department operations.
