Job Summary
Oversee day-to-day operations of the RV service department in a dealership/service center; supervise service technicians, mechanics, and support staff; schedule and assign work to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of service orders; monitor department performance metrics and implement improvement strategies; engage with customers to understand service needs, provide estimates and timelines; recruit, hire, and train personnel; conduct ongoing training on RV technologies and service techniques; manage RV diagnostic, repair, and maintenance work to meet manufacturer and industry standards; maintain accurate service records and inventory, develop pricing strategies and manage the department budget to maximize profitability; ensure safety procedures and regulatory compliance while delivering high levels of customer satisfaction.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (required); associate or bachelor’s degree in automotive technology, business management, or related field preferred
- Minimum of 3-5 years of RV service experience with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role
- RV systems knowledge, diagnostic and repair techniques
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; customer-satisfaction focus
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a team, manage multiple tasks, prioritize
- RVDA-RVIA Service Management Certification or similar credentials preferred
