Job Summary
Service Manager leads a safety-focused automotive service department, hires and develops an Extraordinary Team, ensures outstanding customer experiences, enforces the service code of ethics, maintains facility and equipment, and collaborates with management to meet performance targets. Responsibilities include team scheduling, LMS and vendor training, ensuring ASE certifications, coordinating with technicians on work orders, daily huddles and meetings, maintaining a clean service area, and ensuring compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements. The role requires strong leadership, communication, and a deep understanding of automotive servicing and industry standards, with a standard five-day workweek and minimum 50 hours per week.
Required Qualifications
- Two years related experience in automotive service management
- Completion of two-year college or technical school program recommended
- Current, valid driver’s license issued in state of residence
- Equipment Safety Certification
- ASE Certification C1 – Service Consultant required
- ASE Certification P2 – Parts Specialist recommended
- ASE Certification G1 – Maintenance and light repair recommended
- State Inspection License Required (where applicable)
