Job Summary
Service Manager leading VIP Auto’s Belfast, ME location: Inspire and build an extraordinary team delivering exceptional customer experiences while maintaining a safe, compliant service environment. Responsibilities include hiring and developing technicians, ensuring LMS and vendor training, guiding ASE certifications (C1, P2, G1), scheduling to meet customer needs across all hours, dispatching work orders to the first available technician, conducting daily huddles and bi-monthly store meetings, maintaining facility and equipment, enforcing the service Code of Ethics and regulatory compliance, and serving as policy administrator for the location. The role requires strong leadership, communication, organizational skills, automotive servicing knowledge, and the ability to drive performance through coaching and process improvements.
Required Qualifications
- Two years related experience in automotive service management
- Completion of two-year college or technical school program recommended
- Current, valid driver’s license issued in state of residence
- Equipment Safety Certification
- ASE Certification C1 – Service Consultant required
- ASE Certification P2 – Parts Specialist recommended
- ASE Certification G1 – Maintenance and light repair recommended
- State Inspection License Required (where applicable)
