Job Summary
Oversee the service department and drive operational success by managing employee schedules, forecasting goals, and administering the annual operating budget. Work with the Parts Manager and shop foreman to ensure timely vehicle turnaround and proper service execution. Handle customer complaints, maintain technician proficiency, and partner with technical schools and OEM vendors to recruit talent and grow the fixed operation business. Motivate, train, and develop the team while maintaining Asbury's quality standards and a safe workplace. Requires 3+ years of automotive service management experience, proficiency with CDK software, and ability to manage in a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
- Strong customer service skills
- Must be able to manage a team, motivate and develop
- Experience with CDK or other automotive software
- Strong technical aptitude
- Proven track record to grow the fixed operation business through excellent CSI, advertising, managing utilization and proficiency of the shop
- Must have 3+ years as an automotive Service Writer/Service Assistant Manager
- Previous automotive Service Management experience
- Must be able to manage in a fast paced work environment
- Must be able to pass pre-employment screens (background & drug test)
